Lord Of The Rings Blu Ray Out Next April 2010

Much to the chagrin of many the much awaited Lord Of The Rings on Blu Ray is due to be released next year on April 6th 2010 in the US.

But you’d imagine such news would be well recieved but it seems that the intention is only to release the theatrical version first with a later release of the extended version.

I am all for commercialism and making money but I can only see this blatant attempt to sell people two copies of the same movie as just take that a bit too far. If you read the comments on Amazon you’ll know what I mean.

What is worse most Lord Of The Rings fans already have been suckered first time round with the Lord Of The Rings being released as two editions on DVD.

My advice to all HTF readers is either accept you are going to stick with the DVD (if you don’t have a HDTV it will be the best it’s going to get anyway) or wait for the Blu Ray extended version later in the year.
